Preparation and Moving Process
-
Do you provide boxes and packing tape?
We supply everything. We can deliver materials in advance. Ask your relocation coordinator for details.

How far in advance should I book my move?
While there’s no strict requirement, we recommend booking about 30 days ahead. During peak seasons (year-end/New Year, late March through April, June-July), please book well in advance.
-
Can you work on weekends and holidays?
Yes, but these days are busy, so early booking is essential.
-
What should I prepare?
You’ll need to prepare documents, sort your belongings, and dispose of unwanted items.
-
Can you explain the sorting process in detail?
-
Can I ship food and liquids?
Many countries restrict or prohibit food imports. In addition, some items allowed in sea freight (like liquids) can’t go by air. Check with your relocation coordinator for specifics.

What items need special procedures for international shipping (pets, cars, pianos, plants)?
Pet and vehicle transport have restrictions. Contact your relocation coordinator for details. Piano transport requires specialized handlers.

Any tips for preparing to move?
The most important thing is sorting. Dispose of unwanted items early to free up space. This makes sorting much smoother.
-
What should I watch for on moving day?
Make absolutely sure to separate items you’re taking as carry-on. Be especially careful with passports, phones, and keys.
-
What documents do I need to prepare?
Requirements vary by destination and employer. You’ll always need: passport photo page copy, proof of departure from Japan (flight tickets, etc.), and personal information consent form.
You may also need visa copies, insurance forms, and other documents. -
Can you handle garbage disposal?
We’re not a disposal company, so we can’t handle disposal directly. Furniture and appliances (except those covered by recycling laws) over 30 cm aren’t collected by regular garbage trucks. You’ll need to contact your local waste management center, which charges fees.
Air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators/freezers, washers, and dryers fall under appliance recycling laws. Contact the store where you bought them, a nearby retailer, or your local government. All charge fees that vary by item. -
Do I need to create the packing list myself?
Our staff will create it in English while packing. However, you’ll need to prepare the Packing List for Insurance yourself.
-
Can I pay by credit card?
Unfortunately, we don’t accept credit cards. Payment is made by bank transfer to our designated account.
-
Do you provide desiccants and insect repellant?
We provide desiccants. We don’t supply insect repellant. If you’re concerned, please prepare them yourself.
-
Do you handle all the packing?
Our experienced staff pack everything securely and carefully for international moving.
-
I’d like to pack some items myself.
Since most of our packing staff members are male, you’re welcome to pack women’s clothing yourself. Just let us know what’s inside during the moving process.
-
I want my suits and coats transported without being folded.
We have special cartons that lay long garments flat. No need to worry.
-
The road to my house is narrow. The truck might not fit. What should I do?
Please let us know about access issues. We’ll bring the appropriate equipment.
-
What’s your work process?
For large moves, multiple staff members work simultaneously in different rooms.
We work in parallel rather than room by room, which is why advance sorting is essential. -
Do I need to stay home during the entire move?
Not necessarily. If you need to leave (for school pickup, etc.), just let the staff know.
