Our Group has established a Sustainability Policy to work on initiatives for realizing a sustainable society.
We have also identified material issues in our business operations and set sustainability targets to achieve by 2030.

In line with our motto, “Trust Above All,” Yamatane Group’s corporate philosophy is to contribute to the realization of a prosperous society through its business.

In addition, we have established our corporate message "Supporting your sustainability".

We believe that Yamatane Group's raison d'ete is to support the sustainability of all stakeholders, including clients, shareholders, and employees, by deepening trustful relationships as a partner company and always moving forward together with our clients and society.

By basing our conduct on the ideas of our corporate philosophy and corporate message and putting them into practice, we strive to contribute to both realizing a sustainable society and improving our corporate value in a sustainable manner.

Action Guidelines

  1. We will establish a long-term vision, identify issues from the perspective of sustainability of the environment, society, and economy to achieve the vision, and work on solving those issues through our business.
  2. We will work on enhancing our offensive and defensive governance and developing organizational foundations to support the success of diverse human resources.
  3. We will appropriately disclose information and engage in active dialogue with stakeholders.
  4. We will work on realizing a sustainable society throughout the value chain by strengthening partnerships.

Identifying Material Issues

We set our priority themes through the following process:

    • STEP01

      Creating a List of Potential Issues

      We identified potential issues based on international standards such as ISO 26000 and SASB, ESG rating criteria, SDGs, plus Yamatane’s management challenges and industry issues.

    • STEP02

      Identifying and Prioritizing Material Issues by Business

      We identified issues in each business unit’s value chain using the candidate list. We assessed the identified issues for business importance and social importance, identifying those high in both dimensions as material issues for each business.

      Identifying the Yamatane Group’s Material Issues

      We consolidated each business’s material issues and established the Yamatane Group’s material issues after deliberation by the Management Committee and the Board of Directors.
